What's New
Class with Trey Cornette
Oct 13-14 2007
OMG. I just returned from a 2-day class with Trey, held at Hale Fire Glass in Madison, Alabama . Trey is an amazing glass artist and teacher (take a look at his website). I've come away from the class, having learned a whole new way of working, and with a million new ideas using the techniques he taught. In addition to the great instruction, it was incredibly energizing and inspiring to be in a group of people who all share the same love of glass.

This is the largest bead I've ever made, at 70 mm long. The design is fairly crappy, but it's the shaping and black end caps that were the main objectives in this bead. It didn't crack, it's not wonky, the bead release didn't break, and actually there are some pretty cool color reactions as a result of some serious overcooking. . . all in all a pretty successful attempt.
As soon as I get back in my studio for some quality torch time, I'm hoping to have all kinds of new stuff to show!!!!!
